On today's Zero Limits Podcast Matt and stand in co host and previous guest special forces veteran Adrian Humphries chat to Adrian Sutter Veteran of the Australian Army serving with the First Battalion Royal Australian Regiment better known as 1RAR. Shortly after completing Infantry IET (Initial Employment Training) Adrian was soon deployed to Timor Leste providing peace keeping security stability operations. Upon return to Australia Adrian completed training for support company mortar platoon which subsequently was preparing to deploy to Afghanistan. During their deployment to Afghanistan the Battalion lost one brothers to an IED. Adrian post deployment began training heavily to attempt SASR selection to further his career within the defence force. However whilst on training he received news from his family that his sister was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Shortly after cancer treatment trials Adrian's sister sadly passed away which led Adrian's discharge from the military. Adrian founded Swiss 8 which is a health promotion charity, founded by combat veterans to build proactive mental health tools. The focus is to be a positive agitator for change.
